View from an artist's studio
May 10, 2022 -- I've created paintings and drawings in different studios...from Brooklyn, NY, to two stellar ones in Maine, a few in-between and where I am now in Sarasota.
My studio in the Ft. Andross building in Maine was spectacular with equal views. The painting above, one of them, is during winter with a frozen-over Androscoggin River. The light at the end of the day streaming across the river towards a building with a horizontal red stripe inspired the work. That single red stripe of color in that light...and the ambient light filling all of space inspired me, pulling me in.
